Functionality
Fuses protect the vehicle systems from damage
caused by excessive current. The fuse blows when
the current is exceeded.

Conditions for replacing a fuse
✓ Ignition key removed (vehicle without starter
button)
✓ Ignition switched off and driver's door open (ve-
hicle with starter button)
✓ All consumers switched off
Replacing a fuse
— Replace the fuse by means of the clamp located
on the inside of the fuse box cover in the engine
compartment.
— Use the appropriate end of the clamp based on
the fuse dimensions.

Accessing the fuses
— Loosen and open the lid of the storage compart-
ment on the driver's side.
— Replace the fuse.
— Replace the storage compartment cover and lock
it into place.
