  • Page 2 Make a connection first. - Plug & Auto Set Up function If you make a simple connection and plug in, your recorder will automatically store TV stations in memory and set its clock (Plug & Auto Set Up function), to be ready for recording and viewing of TV programmes. Follow the procedure below.
  • Page 3 Channel setting & clock setting The recorder can be set up manually also, without using the Plug & Auto Set Up function. If Plug & Auto Set Up function failed, or if you want to add or change channels or adjust the clock, follow this procedure. Channel Setting The recorder contains a built-in tuner used to receive television broadcasts.

    Recording a TV programme This procedure starts recording of a TV programme corrently broadcasted. To make an unattended (timer) recording, refer to the “OPERATIONS”. Press HDD or DVD to select a media to record on. HDD: To record on the HDD. DVD: To record on a DVD-RAM disc.
  • Page 5 To stop the recording Press STOP. Press to select “AV Record Quality”, then press ENTER. Notes • During recording, you cannot change the recording parameters, ENTER such as modes, channels, etc. • The number of titles cannot exceed 99 for a DVD-RAM or 198 for an HDD.

    Playing recorded contents (CONTENT MENU) Titles and chapters recorded on an HDD or a DVD-RAM disc are displayed in thumbnail view, so that you can easily locate a desired one. During stop or playback, press CONTENT MENU. The following CONTENT MENU (Title CONTENT MENU List) appears.

    Playing a DVD video disc For disc compatibility of this recorder, refer to the “INSTALLATION GUIDE”. Press OPEN/CLOSE. The disc tray opens. TOP MENU Place a disc in the inside hollow. Insert with the playback side down. Disc size varies depending on the disc. Place a disc to fit the guide.
