Nedis FCCF100FRD - Chocolate Fountain Manual
Intended use
The Nedis FCCF100FRD is a chocolate fountain.
This product creates a stream of melted chocolate into which food can be dipped.
The product is intended for indoor use only.
Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Safety instructions
- Read the instructions before use.
- Only use the product as described in this manual.
- Any other use may cause fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons and may void the warranty.
- Never place anything other than the required ingredients in the melting tray.
- Do not switch the product on when it is empty.
- Do not leave the product unattended when switched on.
- Do not touch any hot surfaces.
- Keep hands and foreign objects out of the fountain while operating.
- Unplug the product when not in use and before cleaning.
- Do not use the product when the cord or plug is damaged.
- Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective device immediately.
- Never immerse the product in water or place it in a dishwasher.
- The product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
- Do not use external timers or remote control systems to switch the product on or off.
- This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Do not expose the product to water or moisture.
- Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place the product near gas, an electric burner or a heated oven.
- Make sure that the electrical supply in your area matches a voltage of 220 – 240 VAC and a frequency of 50 Hz.
Installing the product
Check that all parts are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website: www.nedis.com.
- Make sure the product is unplugged.
- Place the product on a flat, level surface.
- Make sure A is switched to OFF.
- Place the spiral on the main unit A, on top of the melting tray A . It is normal that the spiral can move a little.
- Place the fountain A over the spiral. The three pins of A fit into the holes of A .
- Plug A in a power outlet.
Suitable ingredients:
- Chocolate with a proportion of cocoa butter of at least 60%.
- You can add small amounts of coffee liqueur, coffee powder, coconut milk or related flavourings.
Do not use chocolate with pieces (for example nuts, almonds or chips) that can obstruct the spiral.
Do not add solid or large pieces of chocolate while the motor is running.
Do not add cold or cooled liquids.
Using the product
- Switch A to HEAT.
- Add 500-1000 grams of chocolate in small pieces into A.
The melting process takes between 30-60 minutes, depending on the amount and type of chocolate.
You can also pour melted chocolate in A .
- Switch A to HEAT MOTOR when all chocolate has completely melted.
Add vegetable oil when the chocolate does not melt entirely.
- Switch Ato OFF after 2 minutes.
- Wait 1 minute to allow any air to escape from the chocolate.
- Switch A to HEAT MOTOR.
- Stick pieces of food on a fork or stick or place them on a spoon.
- Hold the food in the chocolate stream.
Do not use food that can crumble and obstruct the spiral.
Check regularly for large chunks in A . Remove these chunks.
- Add more chocolate or vegetable oil when the closed loop of chocolate stops.
Do not use the product for more than 3 hours.
Do not allow children to clean the product without supervision.
Cleaning
- Switch off the product.
- Unplug the product.
Be careful as the product is still hot.
Do not use sharp items.
Never immerse the main unit with the melting tray in water or place it in a dishwasher.
- Pour out as much chocolate as possible.
Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid, acetone or gasoline when cleaning the product.
- Allow the product to cool down, but clean the spiral, A and Awhile the chocolate is still liquid.
- Wash Aand the spiral in hot water with soap.
- Remove the remaining chocolate.
- Clean Aand Awith a soft damp cloth.
