AGPS limitations & tips
Note: This feature is available only when using a
CDMA network (see page 46).
Your phone uses Assisted Global Positioning System
(AGPS) satellite signals to estimate your location. If
your phone cannot find strong satellite signals, your
AGPS might be slower, less accurate, or it might not
work at all. AGPS provides only an approximate
location, often within 150 feet (45 meters) but
sometimes much farther from your actual location.
To improve AGPS accuracy:
• Go outside and away from underground
locations, covered vehicles, structures with
metal or concrete roofs, tall buildings, and
foliage. Indoor performance might improve if
you move closer to window, but some
window sun-shielding films can block satellite
signals.
