Abrasive disc cut-off saw

3 Always clamp workpiece in the base vice. NEVER hold a work piece by hand.
3 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area.
3 Avoid subjecting disc to excessive strain, always ease disc down against workpiece (a harsh downward impact may break the disc). Do not
apply undue force on the handle in order to cut workpiece. Maintain a controlled cutting speed through the workpiece.
p WARNING! DO NOT switch the grinder on whilst the disc is in contact with the work piece. Bring the rotating disc to the workpiece.
and avoid un-intentional starting of the saw.
7 DO NOT hold the workpiece by hand. Use base vice to secure the workpiece.
7 DO NOT force the saw to achieve a task it was not designed to perform.
7 DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the saw.
7 DO NOT get the saw wet or use in damp or wet locations or areas where there is condensation.
p WARNING! DO NOT use saw where there is flammable liquids, solids or gases such as paint solvents, including waste wiping rags etc.
7 DO NOT operate the saw if any parts are missing or damaged as this may cause failure or possible personal injury.
7 DO NOT remove the safety guard whilst in use.
7 DO NOT attempt to remove a workpiece until the disc has stopped rotating.
7 DO NOT touch the workpiece close to the cut as it will be very hot. Allow to cool. The cut edge of the workpiece will also be very sharp.
7 DO NOT leave the saw operating whilst unattended.
7 DO NOT operate the saw when you are tired, under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
3 When not in use switch the saw off, remove plug from the power supply.
3 During transport, always secure the machine head by means of the chain link in the special hook and lift by the handle.
2. APPLICATION & SPECIFICATIONS
The MG214 is a general purpose abrasive saw suitable for site use. Supplied with abrasive disc for metal cutting but will cut concrete with correct
disc fitted. Fully guarded disc and integral work vice are included.

3. CONTENTS & ASSEMBLY
Unpack the product and check there are two tools item 14 accompanying the saw.
Check to ensure there is no damage, If any problem noted contact your supplier immediately.

IMPORTANT: Grinding Disc MUST
3.1.
Open the carton remove any packing and carefully lift saw out by holding the hand grip
ensuring you maintain a correct posture for lifting.
3.2.
To clamp the motor head in the (down) transport position turn the locking sleeve inward (fig 2.A).
3.3.
Set the saw on a flat, stable work bench, or surface strong enough to support the saw
and any workpiece.
3.4.
Remove any packing from the vice.
Before using saw, check that disc is perpendicular to the base of machine and all parts are
in good order and correctly secured.
4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
p WARNING! Before grinding ensure you wear approved safety goggles, ear defenders, appropriate dust mask if grinder generates
dust and safety gloves, and that all other safety instructions in chapter 1 are followed carefully.
4.1.
Securing workpiece.
4.1.1. Ensure the saw is unplugged from the mains power supply and secure workpiece in the base vice (fig1. 5).
We recommend that you place a block of wood (slightly narrower than the work piece) in the vice below
the item to be cut to act as a support (fig 3).
4.1.2. For additional cutting capacity re-locate the back jaw of the vice (fig1.6) in the rear vice holes and fully secure.
4.1.3. When cutting long pieces use additional supports along the length.
4.2.
The On and Off switch.
Plug saw into mains power supply and start saw by depressing the power trigger located on handgrip (fig1 item 2). Release trigger to stop saw.
4.3.
Overload switch.
Should the saw become overloaded the overload switch will cut the power to the machine. To reset press the switch back
ensuring you keep your hands clear of the cutting disc.
