Disconnect battery pack from tool before making any assembly, adjustments
or changing accessories. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the tool accidentally.
Depth Adjustment
(Fig. 4, 5)
Adjust the cutting depth so
that no more than one tooth
is visible below the work piece.
blade exposure below the workpiece could re-
sult in personal injury and/or property damage.
The depth adjustment sys-
tem should be not used to
change the depth while the saw is in opera-
tion, or for plunge cutting. If blade adjustment
shifts while cutting, it may cause binding and
kickback.
To adjust the cutting depth follow these instruc-
tions (Fig. 4):
1. Disconnect Battery Pack 19 from tool.
2. Loosen the Depth Adjustment Lever 7 locat-
ed on the left side of the tool.
3. Hold the Foot 15 down with one hand and
raise or lower saw by the Handle 22.
— For a smaller cutting depth, pull the saw
away from the Foot 15;
— for a deeper cutting depth, push the saw
toward the Foot 15. The Cutting Depth
Scale 21 has an inch scale. There is also
a secondary scale visible on the lower
guard.
4. Tighten the depth adjustment lever at the
desired depth setting.
Note: Not more than one tooth length of the
blade should extend below the material to be
cut, for minimum splintering (Fig. 5).
90° Cutting Angle Check
(Fig. 5, 6)
1. Disconnect Battery Pack 19 from tool.
2. Set foot to maximum depth of cut setting.
3. Loosen Adjustment Lever 9, set to 0° on Bev-
el Scale 8, retighten Lever 9 (Fig. 5).
