you have to move suddenly. Take great care when
you work on sloping ground.
Keep a good balance and a firm foothold at all times.
Do not overreach.
Hold the hedge trimmer by insulated gripping
surfaces only, because the blade may contact
hidden wiring. Blades contacting a "live" wire may
make exposed metal parts of the hedge trimmer
"live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
Keep all power cords and cables away from cutting
area. Power cords or cables may be hidden in
hedges or bushes and can be accidentally cut by the
blade.
Deactivate the product before you move to another
area. Attach the transport guard when the product is
not in use.
Never put the product down unless you have
deactivated it and removed the battery. Do not leave
the product unsupervised when it is switched on.
Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the
blade stopped and taking care not to operate any
power switch. Proper carrying of the hedge trimmer
will decrease the risk of inadvertent starting and
resultant personal injury from the blades.
When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer,
always fit the blade cover. Proper handling of the
hedge trimmer will decrease the risk of personal
injury from the blades.
Make sure that no clothes or parts of the body
come in contact with the cutting attachment when
the product is activated.
When clearing jammed material or servicing the
unit, make sure all power switches are off and
the battery pack is removed or disconnected.
Unexpected actuation of the hedge trimmer while
clearing jammed material or servicing may result in
serious personal injury.
Note:
The above warning is omitted for machines
with integral batteries.

Watch out for stumps of branches that can be thrown
out when you cut. Do not cut to close to the ground
where stones and other objects can be thrown out.
Watch out for thrown objects. Always wear
approved eye protection. Never lean over the cutting
attachment guard. Stones, rubbish, etcetera, can be
thrown up into the eyes which can cause blindness
or serious injury.
Listen out for warning signals or shouts when
you wear hearing protection. Always remove your
hearing protection as soon as the product stops.
Never work from a ladder, stool or any other raised
position that is not fully secured.
Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean
and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and
control of the tool in unexpected situations.
Use both hands when you hold the product. Hold the
product at the side of your body.
Personal protective equipment
WARNING:
instructions that follow before you use the
product.
Always use approved personal protective equipment
when you use the product. Personal protective
equipment cannot fully prevent injury but it
decreases the degree of injury if an accident does
occur. Let your dealer help you select the right
equipment.
Use a protective helmet where there is a risk of
falling objects.
Long term exposure to noise can result in damaged
hearing. In general, battery powered products
are relatively quiet but damage can result from
a combination of noise level and long usage.
Husqvarna recommends that operators use hearing
protectors when using products for a longer coherent
time of a day. Continual and regular users should
have their hearing checked regularly.
