Problem
I cannot use the handset as a
remote control when playing
music from your Bluetooth
device through the base unit's
speaker.
The handset does not show
music information on the
display.
I am not talking on a cellular
call, but the CELL indicator on
the base unit may flash.
Answering system
Problem
The unit does not record new
messages.
I cannot operate the answering
system remotely.
The unit does not emit the
specified number of rings.

Cause/solution
R Confirm that the Bluetooth device supports the Audio
Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) specification.
R Confirm that the Bluetooth device supports the Audio
Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP ver 1.3 or later)
specification.
R Confirm that some kind of media player app is not
activated on your smartphone.
Cause/solution
R The answering system is turned off. Turn it on (page 50).
R The answering system does not answer or record calls
from cellular lines.
R The message memory is full. Erase unnecessary
messages (page 51).
R The recording time is set to "Greeting only". Change
the setting (page 55).
R Your service provider/telephone company's Voice Mail
service may be answering your calls before the unit's
answering system can answer your calls. Change the
unit's number of rings setting (page 55) to a lower value,
or contact your service provider/telephone company.
R The answering system will not answer incoming calls
while the other devices such as handsets are engaged in
a call.
R The remote access code is not set. Set the remote
access code (page 53).
R You are entering the wrong remote access code. If you
have forgotten your remote access code, enter the
remote access code setting to check your current code
(page 53).
R The answering system is turned off. Turn it on (page 54).
R You cannot operate the answering system when calling a
cellular phone paired to the base unit.
R If the first ring is turned off, the number of rings decreases
by 1 from the specified number of rings.
