Turning the GPS Function On
Reception Status Display

Display the [GPS Settings] screen.
Press the n button to choose [GPS
Settings] in the 3 tab, then press the m
button.
Choose a setting.
Press the op buttons or turn the 7 dial
to choose [GPS], then press the qr
buttons to choose [On].
When you press the n button, a
message about the GPS function will
appear on the screen. After checking the
message, press the m button.
Press the n button to return to
Shooting mode.
Check the reception status.
Use the camera outside, where the sky is
clearly visible. (The function will not work
properly if you are in an environment, such
as indoors, where the GPS satellite signal
cannot be received (p. 110).)
You can check the GPS reception status
displayed on the screen.
GPS satellite signal received. The camera's positioning data or the
shooting date can be recorded.
Searching for GPS satellite.
Cannot receive GPS satellite signal.
