ADJUSTMENTS
ADJUSTING THE BEVEL LOCK LEVER
See Figure 21, page 16.
The bevel lock lever may be adjusted by following the same
steps listed in Adjusting the Depth Lock Lever.
ADJUSTING THE BASE
See Figures 22, page 16.
If the circular saw becomes misaligned, it can become
difficult to perform straight cuts. This saw features a unique
adjustable base that ensures the best alignment possible.
NOTE: If tool has experienced potential damage, please
inspect thoroughly before using.
 Remove the battery pack.
 Set the depth of cut scale to MAX and bevel scale to 0°.
 Set the tool on the work surface with the base of the saw
up.
 Fully retract the lower blade guard to access the blade.
 Temporarily secure it in place with tape.
WARNING:
Avoid contact with blade teeth to avoid possible
injury. Do not leave lower blade guard taped after
adjustment to the base is complete, as this could
lead to serious possible injury.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING:
When servicing use only identical replacement
parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard
or cause product damage.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields
marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do
so could result in objects being thrown into your
eyes, resulting in possible serious injury.
Do not abuse power tools. Abusive practices can damage
tool as well as workpiece.
 Loosen the two adjustment screws on the bottom of the
base.
 Place a straight edge or scale against the side of the
blade, being careful that the scale only touches the body
of the blade and not the sides of the carbide teeth.
 Note the position of the straight edge of the scale relative
to the the two grooves located at both ends of the base
opening. The end of the base with the two screws can
be rotated slightly to adjust the base alignment.
 Position the base so that the distance from the edge of
the straight edge to the two grooves is the same on both
ends.
 Tighten the adjustment screws securely.
 Remove all adhesive tape on the lower blade guard when
adjustment is complete.
 Check lower blade guard to make sure that it closes
instantly.
NOTE: When the lower guard is released, the guard will
quickly release. Be sure to keep your fingers away from
the exposed blade.
WARNING:
To avoid possible serious injury, never use saw
when guard is not operating correctly. Check the
guard for correct operation before each use. The
guard is operating correctly when it moves freely,
and instantly returns to the closed position. If you
drop the saw, check the lower blade guard and
bumper for damage at all depth settings before
reuse.
WARNING:
The tool should never be connected to a power
supply when you are assembling parts, making
adjustments, cleaning, performing maintenance, or
when the tool is not in use. Disconnecting the tool
will prevent accidental starting that could cause
serious injury.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
