War Ranty - Yardworks 400 Series Operator's Manual

For FOUR YEARS from the date of re tail pur chase within Canada, YARDWORKS CAN ADA will, at its op tion, re pair
or re place, for the orig inal pur chaser, free or charge, any part or parts found to be de fective in ma terial or work -
man ship.
This war ranty does not cover:
1. Any part which has be come in operative due to mis use, com mercial use, abuse, ne glect, ac ci-
dent, im proper main te nance or al ter ation; or
2. The unit if it has not been op erated and/or main tained in ac cordance with the owner's in struc-
tions fur nished with the unit; or
3. The en gine or mo tor or com ponent parts thereof which carry sep arate war ranties from their man-
ufacturers. Please re fer to the ap plicable man ufacturer's war ranty on these items; and read
en gine war ranty state ment be low, or
4. Batteries and nor mal wear parts ex cept as noted be low. Log split ter pumps, valves and cyl inders
or com ponent parts thereof are cov ered by a one year war ranty; or
5. Routine main tenance items such as lu bricants, fil ters, blade sharp ening and tune-ups, or ad just-
ments such as brake, clutch or deck; or
6. Nor mal de te ri o ra tion of the ex te rior fin ish due to use or ex po sure.
Full One Hundred Eighty Days War ranty on Bat tery: For one hun dred eighty (180) days from the date of re tail
purchase, if any bat tery in cluded with this unit proves de fective in ma terial or work manship and our test ing de ter-
mines the bat tery will not hold a charge, YARDWORKS CAN ADA will re place the bat tery at no charge to the
orig i nal pur chaser.
Additional Limited Sixty Days War ranty on Bat tery: Af ter one hun dred eighty (180) days but within two hun dred
forty (240) days from the date of pur chase, YARDWORKS CAN ADA will re place the de fective bat tery, for the orig i-
nal pur chaser, for a cost of one-half (1/2) of the cur rent re tail price of the bat tery in ef fect at the date of re turn.
Full One Hun dred Twenty Days Warranty on Nor mal Wear Parts: Normal wear parts are defined as belts, blade
adaptors, blades, grass bags, seats, tires, rider deck wheels and clutch parts (friction wheels). These parts are
warranted to the orig inal pur chaser to be free from de fects in ma terial and work manship for a pe riod of one hun -
dred twenty (120) days from the date of re tail purchase.
How to Obtain Ser vice: War ranty ser vice is avail able, with proof of pur chase, through your lo cal au thorized ser -
vice dealer or dis tributor. If you do not know the dealer or dis tributor in your area, please call, toll free
1-866-523-5218. The return of a complete unit will not be ac cepted by the fac tory unless prior written permission
has been ex tended by YARDWORKS CAN ADA.
Trans por ta tion Charges: Trans portation charges for the movement of any power equip ment unit or at tachment
are the re sponsibility of the pur chaser. Trans portation charges for any part sub mitted for re placement un der this
warranty must be paid by the pur chaser un less such re turn is re quested in writ ing by YARDWORKS CAN ADA.
Other War ran ties: All other war ranties, ex press or im plied, in cluding any im plied war ranty of mer chantability is lim -
ited in its du ration to that set forth in this ex press lim ited war ranty. The pro visions as set forth in this war ranty
provide the sole and ex clusive rem edy of YARDWORKS CAN ADA ob ligations aris ing from the sale of its prod ucts.
YARDWORKS CAN ADA will not be li able for in cidental or con sequential loss or dam age.
This lim ited war ranty dou bles the time pe riods of the en gine man ufacturer's lim ited war ranty which is en closed in
the owner's in for ma tion pack age.
