13. Warranty

TEN YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Ifafterreviewingthisuserguideyoufeelthatyouralarmisdefectiveinanyway,do
nottamperwiththeunit.Inmanycases,thequickestwaytoexchangeyouralarmisto
returnittotheoriginalplaceofpurchase.Alternatively,youmayreturnitforservicing

Kiddewarrantsthattheenclosedalarmwillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialand
workmanshipordesignundernormaluseandserviceforaperiodoftenyearsfromthe
dateofpurchase.TheobligationofKiddeunderthiswarrantyislimitedtorepairingor
replacingthealarmoranypartwhichwefindtobedefectiveinmaterial,workmanship
ordesign,freeofcharge,uponsendingthealarmwithproofofdateofpurchase,
postageandreturnpostageprepaid,to:KiddeCanadaInc.,P.O.Box40,Apsley,ON
K0L1A0.
Thiswarrantyshallnotapplytothealarmifithasbeendamaged,modified,abusedor
alteredafterthedateofpurchaseorifitfailstooperateduetoimpropermaintenance
orinadequatepower.Anyimpliedwarrantiesarisingoutofthissale,includingbut
notlimitedtotheimpliedwarrantiesofdescription,merchantabilityandfitnessfora
particularpurpose,arelimitedindurationtotheabovewarrantyperiod.Innoevent
shalltheManufacturerbeliableforlossofuseofthisproductorforanyindirect,
special,incidentalorconsequentialdamages,orcosts,orexpensesincurredbythe
consumeroranyotheruserofthisproduct,whetherduetoabreachofcontract,
negligence,strictliabilityintortorotherwise.TheManufacturershallhavenoliability
foranypersonalinjury,propertydamageoranyspecial,incidental,contingentor
consequentialdamageofanykindresultingfromgasleakage,fireorexplosion.
Sincesomeprovincesdonotallowlimitationsofthedurationofanimpliedwarranty
ordonotallowtheexclusionorlimitationofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,
theabovelimitationsorexclusionsmaynotapplytoyou.Whilethiswarrantygives
youspecificlegalrights,youmayalsohaveotherrightswhichvaryfromprovinceto
province.Theabovewarrantymaynotbealteredexceptinwritingsignedbyboth
partieshereto.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove unit back cover. Back cover removal will void
warranty. YourKiddesmokealarmisnotasubstituteforproperty,disability,lifeor
otherinsuranceofanykind.Appropriateinsurancecoverageisyourresponsibility.
