-Do no
t change the oil type. It may cause contamination by chemical
incompatibility, thus reducing its useful life and causing lubrication
problems.
-If an
oil type change occurs, carry out the first oil change after 2 working
hours and the other changes every 20 working hours or 2 months
(Whichever oc
curs first).
-IMPORTANT
Ask the nearest Black&Decker Authorized Service Center about
additional orientation on the adequate type of lubricant oil to be used.
3. Oil change procedures
A. Change the oil according to the instructions below:
B. Change Procedures:
-Unplug the equipment;
-Remove drain plug 14 and let the oil flow into a container;
-Fasten the plug using thread sealing;
-See the correct oil volume on Table 1 - Technical Characteristics - page 21;
-Replace the oil through the plug's lodging orifice of the oil gauge
dipstick 15, located on the crankcase (Picture 9) Table 4 shows the oil
change intervals.

4. Weekly
A.
Clean the compressor's external surface with neutral detergent.
B.
Remove air filter. Wash and dry the element.
5. Every 15 (Fifteen) days
A.
Every 15 (fifteen) days, check the tightness of the compressor's
fastening bolts and fasten them, if necessary (Picture 10). Use a
screwdriver according to the kind of bolts.

6. Monthly
A.
Check performance of pressure switch (see Items 5 and 6 of Start
Up Procedure).
7. Quarterly
A.
Change the air filter every 300 hours (whichever occurs first).
B.
Refasten bolts (see Table 5) and nuts.

Annually
A.
Have the pressure switch, pressure gauge and ASME safety valve
calibrated either by an official institution, or according to local
Technical Norms and Legislation. This operation must be carried
out to a device not coupled to the air tank.

clean the valves located between the cylinder' s upper part and its
cover. Do it at the nearest Black&Decker Authorized Service
Center, transportation costs are the responsibility of the customer.
