H Electrical work
Electrical work must only be carried out by electrical
installation contractors.
Before starting electrical work:
▶ Isolate all poles of the mains voltage and secure against
reconnection.
▶ Make sure the mains voltage is disconnected.
▶ Observe the wiring diagrams of other system components
as well.
H Assembly, modifications
▶ The assembly of the appliance, as well as any changes
regarding its installation, can only be carried out by an
authorised contractor.
▶ Never obstruct the vent pipe of the pressure relief valve.
▶ The drain line from the pressure relief valve must be
installed downwards in a frost-free location and it must also
remain open to the atmosphere.
▶ During the heating, water may be released from the
discharge pipe of the pressure relief valve.
H Maintenance
▶ Maintenance must only be carried out by an authorised
contractor.
▶ Always switch off the appliance from the electricity before
carrying out any maintenance work.
▶ The user is responsible for the safety and environmental
compatibility of the installation and/or maintenance.
▶ Only original spare parts should be used.
▶ If the power cable is damaged, it can only be replaced by
the manufacturer, the manufacturer's after-sales service,
or professionals who are qualified to prevent dangerous
circumstances.
H Inspection and maintenance
Regular inspection and maintenance are prerequisites for safe
and environmentally compatible operation of the system.
We recommend arranging an annual maintenance and
inspection contract with the manufacturer.
▶ Have work carried out only by an approved contractor.
▶ Eliminate all defects identified immediately.
Every situation that deviates from the conditions described in
the instructions must be assessed by an approved specialist. If
there is approval for this, the specialist must specify a
catalogue of maintenance requirements, which take wear and
the particular operating conditions into account, and which
comply with the standards and requirements of the country and
the usage.

Explanation of symbols and safety instructions
H Handover to the user
When handing over the solar system, explain the operation and
operating conditions to the operator.
▶ Explain operation – with particular emphasis on all safety-
related actions.
▶ Point out that conversion or repair may be carried out only
by a licensed contractor.
▶ Also point out the need for inspection and preventative
maintenance for safe and environmentally friendly operation.
▶ Hand over the installation and operating instructions to the
user for safekeeping.
H Safety of electrical devices for domestic use and similar
purposes
The following requirements apply in accordance with
EN 60335-1 in order to prevent hazards from occurring when
using electrical appliances:
"This appliance can be used by children of 8 years and older,
as well as by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lacking in experience and knowledge, if they are
supervised and have been given instruction in the safe use of
the appliance and understand the resulting dangers. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance must not be performed by children without
supervision."
"If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly
qualified person, so that risks are avoided."
