    If you do not have a router, purchase and install one before proceeding. If you are going to use the Sonos Controller App on an Android™ or iOS device, or you are setting up Sonos wirelessly, you will need a wireless router.

On/Off Your Sonos system is designed to be always on; the system uses minimal electricity whenever it is not playing music.     Adding to an Existing Sonos System Once you’ve got your Sonos system set up, you can easily add more Sonos products any time (up to 32). Select a location for your PLAY:5 (see Selecting a Location for optimal placement guidelines.) Attach the power cord to the PLAY:5 and apply power.
