pin assignments are designed to be compatible with
converter blocks that provide multiple RJ-48H style
individual interface connections. Alternately, the
signals may be cabled to a punch-down block for
making individual circuit connections.

WARNING
If an ADTRAN T200 HTU-C (p/n 1245006L6)
is used in the HR4 Shelf, the network
connections are made on the modular jacks,
and the customer connections are made on
the 50-pin CHAMP connector (see Figure 8).
Incorrect connections could result in injury
from high voltage present at the Network
interface.

3. INSTALLATION

The HR4 has four available slots for plug-in cards.
HTU-R units can occupy any available slot. Other
locally powered T400 plug-ins can be deployed in the
HR4. This requires use of an external -48 V supply.

4. MAINTENANCE

The ADTRAN HR4 requires no routine maintenance
to operate properly. Tests and maintenance for the
individual plug-ins should be connected in accordance
with the recommendations and procedures prescribed
by the manufacturer of specific plug-in.
ADTRAN recommends that repairs on the shelf not be
performed in the field. Repair services may be
obtained by returning damaged units to ADTRAN
(see Warranty and Customer Service).

Optional Equipment
An optional power supply can be obtained for use
with HTU-C applications.
The 1353DSK48V04 is a –48VDC, 1A power supply.
It is UL listed and comes with a wall-mount bracket.

6. WARRANTY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

ADTRAN will replace or repair this product within 10
years from the date of shipment if it does not meet its
published specifications or fails while in service (see
ADTRAN Carrier Network Equipment Warranty,
Repair, and Return Policy and Procedure, document
60000087-10A).
Contact Customer and Product Service (CAPS) prior
to returning equipment to ADTRAN.
