Chapter 2 — Operation

Operating on Battery Power

Operate the printer normally until the battery power indicator
1
switches from green (power on) to amber (power low warning). You
should be able to use the printer for an average of eight (8) hours
without battery recharge.
When the battery power switches from green to amber, you
will still be able to print several labels. When the indicator
switches to red, the battery unit is automatically switched
off to prevent battery damage. To continue printing, you
must either insert a charged battery or connect the power
supply adapter to the battery unit.
Switch the battery unit off , when it is not connected to the printer, or
2
when not printing for a long time, to avoid unnecessary draining of
the battery pack.
Th e battery pack is charged by connecting the battery unit to the
3
printer's power supply adapter. Th e charging time is approximately
four hours. Th e battery unit must be ON to charge.
Th e battery pack can also be charged while connected to an active
4
printer if the battery pack is connected to the power supply adapter
and the battery pack switch is ON.
