8 Installation
WARNING Danger of electric shock if the
ventilation units are installed within the pro-
tection zone.
The units may only be installed in the specified
protection zones in accordance with the IP de-
gree of protection. Use FWL-PushPull-45 only
outside protection zones 0, 1 and 2.
When wiring several unit pairs/ventilation
units, always use a deep/double flush-moun-
ted box (flush-mounted box provided by cus-
tomer).
Strip wires of connection cables sufficiently.

8.7 Connecting room air controls

For FWL-PushPull RLS / FWL-PushPull RLS-K
controls with 230 V, observe the safety regula-
tions → Electrical connection 230 V.

8.7.1 Wired systems

An FWL-PushPull RLS or FWL-PushPull RLS-K
master room air control can have a maximum of 3
further power units and/or slave room air controls
of a similar design added to it. A maximum of 4
control units can therefore be deployed in a FWL-
PushPull-45 ventilation system.
You can only combine room air controls of the
same type (either FWL-PushPull RLS or FWL-
PushPull RLS-K).
All other room air controls/power units are con-
nected via the RS 485 interface.
If further room air controls are connected, these
must be defined as slaves in service mode → op-
erating instructions or installation instructions.
The relevant ventilation units are connected to
the relevant room air controls/power units.
The connection of the ventilation units to an
FWL-PushPull RLS / FWL-PushPull RLS-K
generally takes place on the terminal block of
Fan1 or Fan2.

8.7.2 Radio-controlled systems

Radio controlled systems with FWL-PushPull
RLS-K control and FWL-PushPull RLS-LTRC
radio module
With this unit combination, radio units can be
paired with wired devices.

8.7.3 Connections

For combination options → Unit overview and
connection options [} 34].

To install the room air control, we always recom-
mend using a deep flush-mounted box. If con-
necting more than two units, we recommend wir-
ing in a double flush-mounted box or in an addi-
tional flush-mounted box.
FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit) ventilation units
are not suitable for use with FWL-PushPull
RLS-LT power units.

8.7.4 Connecting FWL-PushPull RLS-K

FWL-PushPull RLS-K room air control is used to
activate FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit) units.
1. Take off frame of room air control.
2. Connect FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit) units
to RS 485 bus.
Information
• The power supply to the FWL-PushPull-30
(TwinUnit) (+) MUST come from the Fan1 or
Fan2 connection. Make connection according to
wiring diagram → Connection and wiring dia-
grams [} 54].
• If a FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit) unit is run-
ning in exhaust air mode, the FWL-Push-
Pull-45 units handle the volumetric flow com-
pensation at the fan interface (Fan1/Fan2). It is
important that the unit type + quantity are set
correctly.
3. Insert room air control in the flush-mounted
box and screw down to flush-mounted box
with 2 screws.
4. Fit frame. Ensure that the sensor opening is
above the FWL-PushPull RH Sensor int. (if
fitted) and that the frame engages.
5. Commissioning ventilation system→ .
