1. Always use microwave-safe utensils, glass or plastic.
Before adding batter, grease dishes but do not flour. Or, for easy removal, line dish with wax paper.
Crust on cakes will be soft. Refrigerate cake if firm exterior is desirable for frosting.

measuring cup. Add 1tablespoon water. Stir

In 8-inch square dish, melt 1/4 cup butter.
Add 40 marshmallows (about a10-ounce
package). Cover loosely with wax paper and

Place 12-ounce semi-sweet chocolate pieces
in container. Microwave to melt. Add 1cup
whole toasted almonds. Spread over wax
paper on cookie sheet. Chill until firm.

Stir together 1-lb. box confectioners sugar,
1/2 cup cocoa, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup
milk and 1tablespoon vanilla extract until
blended in l'/2-qt. casserole. Top with 1/2
cup butter. Microwave as directed at left. Stir
smooth. Blend in 1cup chopped nuts. Pour
into wax paper lined 8-in. dish. Chill and cut
into squares.
