1. GENERAL

This practice provides installation and operation
procedures for the ADTRAN HDSL 851 Remote
Installation Kit. The HDSL 851 Remote Installation
Kit is designed for use with the ADTRAN HDSL 852
Central Office Installation Kit, part number
1190852L2. Figure 1 is an illustration of the HDSL
Remote Installation Shelf. This kit can house any
standard T200 or T400 card and thereby support any
number of technologies to include T1, HDSL,
HDSL2, DDS, ISDN, TR-DDS, TR-ISDN, FT1, and
others. This practice is written around the HDSL
application.
Revision History
Issue 2 revises ordering guide tables.

The HDSL 851 Remote Installation Kit, part number

Adapter Insert
A separately purchased adapter insert configures the
T200/400 form factor to accommodate the following
mechanics:
• Insert T200/400 to 239/439 form factor
