Backlight Brightness Level When the iPAQ is on, the backlight brightness has the most impact on battery charge of all the power management settings. - Page 7 PAQ P PC B OCKET ATTERY iP A Q P P C C O C K E T The iPAQ Pocket PC has been tested for constant use battery charge using the industry standard test program for Pocket PC. This test is part of the suite of tests required for Pocket PC certification. The constant use test allows for worse case battery charge to be determined for each iPAQ power management settings group.

The battery life of the iPAQ Pocket PC is up to 12 hours of constant use in the Power Save mode. The life is determined using a standard test required by Microsoft for Pocket PC certification.

It is possible that users may think that they have lost data since the unit performs a normal reset, but if power is supplied within the 36-hour window, the data will remain on the device.
