    Keep liquids away from the product. Avoid getting moisture in any openings. If liquid makes its way inside your HP product, it can cause damage to the product. You must remove, replace, or loosen as many as 46 screws when you service the parts described in this chapter.

Remove the eight Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws (3) from the bottom of the computer. Starting near the hinge, use a tool and work around the edges to release the bottom cover from the computer (1).
