Windows® XP Service Pack 2
Before installing the Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2, you must install the HP Quick Fix Engineering
(QFE) update if you want the ability to revert back to your previous configuration. HP recommends you
install the QFE before upgrading to SP2 because some software and hardware might not be tested with
SP2 and therefore not work. If you do not install the QFE, you will not be able to restore your
configuration.
The QFE statement is valid for the HP Workstation xw3100, HP Workstation xw4000, HP Workstation
xw4100, HP Workstation xw4200, HP Workstation xw5000, HP Workstation xw6000, HP Workstation
xw6200, HP Workstation xw8000, and HP Workstation xw8200.
This document describes how to install these two updates on your workstation.
