Assign Connections

Assign Connections on the Advanced Configuration window features
the following fields:
Available Connections List
: This panel on the left side of the
window displays all available connections that can be assigned to
users.
Ping First
: Check box to enable Connection Administrator to ping
the server before attempting a connection. If the server name fails to
resolve or the server fails to respond to the ping, the connection
attempt will be aborted.
Delete Button
: Select a connection in the available connections list
then click this button to delete the connection from the list. Note that
the connection will also be deleted from the lists of connections
assigned to all users.
Add Button
: Click this button to create a new connection and add it
to the list of available connections and the currently selected user's
connection list.
Edit Button
: Select a connection in the available connections list
then click this button to edit the connection.
User Select List
: This drop-down list includes all users accounts
associated with the system. Select a user from the list to configure
connections for the user.
Connections For "Selected User" List
: This panel on the right
side of the window shows the connections assigned to the user
displayed in the USER field near the top of the window.
Name
: This column displays the name of the connection assigned
when the connection was created. The name cannot be altered once
created.
Type
: This column displays the type of connection (Web, RDP,
XDM, or ICA). The connection type can not be altered from this
column.
Primary
: This column is used to designate a connection as either a
primary or secondary connection. If checked, the connection is a
primary connection. If left unchecked, the connection is a secondary
connection. Secondary connections are attempted if the primary
