1. Remove twelve (12) screws from the base cover
2. Using a scribe, carefully pry open the base cover starting from the gap between the base cover and top assembly next to the LCD
hinge (as indicated in yellow)
3. Slide the scribe along the edges of the base cover in the direction indicated until all the latches have been released
4. Lift the base cover from the left side of the system and remove the base cover from the system in the direction indicated.
