Always remove the Color Image Scanner Cartridge as soon as you are finished
scanning pictures and replace it with a BJ cartridge. Do not leave the Color Image
Scanner Cartridge in the printer.
Remove the scanner cartridge just as you would a BJ cartridge. (See step 1 on page 4-24 for
details.)
Store the scanner cartridge in the Ink Cartridge Storage Box provided with the cartridge.
You may want to label this container. Only store the Color Image Scanner Cartridge in this
storage box.
Never store the IS-22 Color Image Scanner Cartridge in an Ink Cartridge Storage
Box that has been used for a BJ cartridge. The pad in the storage box where the
head of a BJ cartridge rests is covered with ink that will damage the scanning head
of the IS-22 Color Image Scanner Cartridge.
Be sure to replace the BJ Cartridge.
