Description
The 5707 Heavy Duty Phase Sequence Indicator will indicate
the presence and phase sequence of 3-phase power, to ensure
correct wiring.
Purpose
This instruction manual is intended to familiarize operators
with the safe operation of the Greenlee 5707 Heavy Duty Phase
Sequence Indicator.

• Do not use the test instrument if it is wet
or damaged. Electric shock can result.
• Do not connect the leads to more than
700 VAC. Electric shock can result.
• Do not open the case while the test leads
are connected to the circuit or while the
test instrument is ON. Electric shock or
damage to the device can result.
Failure to observe these warnings can result
in severe injury or death.
• Do not expose this test instrument to high temperature
(more than 135 F or 57 C) or high humidity (more than
80% relative humidity). Failure to observe this precaution
can result in damage to the instrument.
• Do not attempt to repair this test instrument. It contains
no user-serviceable parts.
• Remove the battery when storing the test instrument for
more than seven (7) days. Battery leakage may damage
the test instrument.
Failure to observe these precautions can result in injury and

1. Test Button: Turns on the phase sequence side of the test
instrument
2. Phase Indicator LED's: Indicate the presence of each phase
of power.
3. CORRECT LED: Indicates correct 3-phase wiring

Operation
1. Disconnect and lock out power.
Do not connect the leads to more than 700 VAC. Electric
shock can result.
2. Connect the leads to the 3-phase circuit. Apply power.
3. Press the Test Button. All three Phase Indicator LED's should
illuminate.
Note: If all three of the Phase Indicator LED's do not
illuminate, shut off and lock out the power. Have
the wiring corrected by a qualified electrician.
Note: One of the Phase Sequence LED's should be lit. If the
CORRECT LED is lit, the phases have been correctly
identified. If the INCORRECT LED is lit, disconnect
and lock out power. Switch any two leads, apply
power and retest.
4. Disconnect power to the circuit. Disconnect the test
instrument from the circuit. Apply power to the circuit.
Maintenance
Keep the test instrument clean and dry. Replace leads that are
worn or damaged.
Do not attempt to repair this test instrument.
It contains no user-serviceable parts.

Descripción
El Indicador de secuencia de fases para servicio pesado modelo
5707 le indicará la presencia de tres fases de potencia, así como
su secuencia, a fin de garantizar que el cableado realizado sea
correcto.
Propósito de este manual
Este manual de instrucciones tiene como propósito familiarizar a
los operadores con el funcionamiento del Indicador de secuencia
de fases para servicio pesado modelo 5707 de Greenlee.

• No utilice este instrumento de verificación
si se encuentra mojado o dañado; de lo
contrario podría electrocutarse.
• No conecte los cables de prueba a más de
700V de CA; de lo contrario podría
electrocutarse.
• No abra la caja del instrumento de
verificación mientras los cables de prueba
estén conectados al circuito ni mientras el
instrumento se encuentre ENCENDIDO
(ON); de lo contrario podría electrocutarse
o dañar el aparato.
De no observarse estas precauciones
podrían ocurrir graves lesiones personales o
incluso la muerte.
• No exponga este instrumento de verificación a altas
temperaturas (más de 57 C o 135 F) ni a altos niveles de
humedad (más de 80% de humedad relativa); de no
observarse esta precaución el aparato podría dañarse.
• No intente reparar este instrumento de verificación ya que
contiene piezas que deben recibir mantenimiento por parte
de un profesional.
• Si no va a utilizar este instrumento por más de siete (7)
días, sáquele las pilas antes de guardarlo. Si las pilas
gotean, el aparato podría dañarse.
