When using the printer driver, change the settings on the printer driver. For details, see "Printer
Driver Settings Overview" on page 65.
International character set for Italic table
You can select among several international character sets for the Italic character table. Each character
set contains eight characters that vary depending on the country or language, so you can customize the
Italic table to suit your printing needs.
Font
This setting allows you to set a font that is used when Others is selected from the fonts on the control
panel.
IPsec/IP Filtering
You can filter traffic based on IP addresses, services, and port. By combining of the filtering, you can
configure the printer to accept or block specified clients and specified data. Additionally, you can
improve security level by using an IPsec.

Link Speed & Duplex
You can select an appropriate Ethernet speed and duplex setting. If you select a setting other than
Auto, make sure the setting corresponds to the settings on the hub you are using.
Baud rate
Use this option to set the data transfer rate (baud) for the serial interface. The baud rate is measured in
bits per second (bps). See your computer manual and software documentation for the proper setting.
Parity
When this option is set to None, parity checking is disabled. The parity bit, if used, provides a basic
form of error detection. See your computer manual and software documentation for the proper
setting.
Data length
Set the data length of the serial interface to 7 bit or 8 bit. See your computer manual and software
documentation for the proper setting.
