Serial Port Connector: COM 2
The mainboard provides one 9-pin header as serial port COM 2. The port is a 16550A high speed
communication port that sends/receives 16 bytes FIFOs. You can attach a serial mouse or other serial devices
directly to it.
Serial ATA Connectors: SATA1~SATA4
The south bridge upports four serial ATA connectors SATA1~SATA4. SATA1~SATA4 are high-speed Serial
ATA interface ports. Each supports serial ATA data rates of 300MB/s. Both connectors are fully compliant with
Serial ATA 2.0 specifications. Each Serial ATA connector can connect to 1 hard disk device.
NOTE: Please do not fold the serial ATA cable in a 90-degree angle, since this might cause the loss of data
during the transmission.
