- This is an unvented gas-fi red heater that
uses air (oxygen) from the room in which it is
installed. Provisions for adequate combustion
and ventilation air must be provided. Refer to
section " COMBUSTION AND VENTILATION AIR
PROVISIONS".
This appliance may be installed in an aftermarket,
permanently located, manufactured (mobile) home,
where not prohibited by local codes.
This appliance is only for use with the type of gas
indicated on the rating plate. This appliance is not
convertible for use with other gases.

    5.0 OPTIONAL INSTALLATION SAFETY SCREEN INSTALLATION Remove the 3 screws that secure the door. RETAINING BRACKETS (X3) Place the bottom of the safety screen into the door retainer. Pivot the top of the safety screen to the door frame and secure by using 3 screws to attach the safety screen and door retainer brackets.

    6.0 ELECTRICAL INFORMATION WIRING DIAGRAM WARNING DO NOT WIRE 110 VOLTS TO THE VALVE OR WALL SWITCH. IF ANY OF THE ORIGINAL WIRE AS SUPPLIED WITH THE APPLIANCE MUST BE REPLACED, IT MUST BE REPLACE WITH A WIRE OF AT LEAST A TEMPERATURE RATING. This appliance comes equipped with a battery back-up.

    7.0 OPERATION When lit for the fi rst time, the appliance will emit a slight odour for a few hours. This is a normal temporary con- dition caused by the “burn-in” of internal paints and lubricants used in the manufacturing process and will not occur again.

    8.0 ADJUSTMENTS VENTURI ADJUSTMENT This appliance has an air shutter that has been factory set open according to the chart below: VENTURI BURNER Regardless of venturi orientation, closing the air shutter will cause a more yellow flame, but can lead to carboning. Opening the air shutter will cause a more blue flame, but can cause flame lifting from the burner ports.

    9.0 MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE WARNING MAINTENANCE TURN OFF THE GAS AND ELECTRICAL POWER BEFORE SERVICING THE APPLIANCE. APPLIANCE MAY BE HOT, DO NOT SERVICE UNTIL APPLIANCE HAS COOLED. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS. CAUTION: Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous operation.
