To add an item to the Home screen or its extensions, touch and hold a blank area until
the Add to home screen menu is displayed, and touch Add shortcut, Add widget and
Add folder.
To move an item on the Home screen or its extensions, touch and hold the item, and drag
it to a blank area.
To remove an item from the Home screen or its extensions, touch and hold the item, and
drag it to the trash can in the lower left corner of the screen.
To set your wallpaper, touch
Press to lock the screen when you are not using your phone.
Touch > Settings > Display > Screen timeout to set Screen timeout to a small
value.
Touch > Settings > Display > Brightness to set Brightness to a small value.
Touch > Settings > Wireless & networks, and clear Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to turn
off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Touch > Settings > Accounts & sync, and clear Background data and Auto-sync
to disable background data synchronization.
Touch > Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks and clear Data
enabled to disable data services, or set Data Switch to Off in the notification bar.
Touch > Settings > Location & security, and clear Use GPS satellites to disable
GPS functions.
Disable data services if you are not using them.
Disable data services if your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Access Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) websites instead of World Wide Web (WWW)
websites.
Touch > Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks, and clear Data
enabled to disable data services.
Touch > Settings > Accounts & sync, and clear Background data and Auto-sync
to disable background data synchronization.
