IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: 1. Read all instructions. 2. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. 3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid. -

16.Do not use Kettle without the Lid in place. 17.Scalding may occur if the Lid is opened while the Kettle is hot. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY GROUNDED PLUG To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug (2 blades and 1 pin). If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use an adaptor. - Page 4 4. Place the Kettle on the Base on a flat, level, dry, heat resistant surface. Ensure that it is correctly engaged on the Base. 5. Plug into a 120V AC wall outlet. NOTE: Never plug kettle into an electrical outlet when the kettle is empty. 6. Direct kettle spout away from cabinets, walls, etc. to prevent possible steam damage. 7. Depress the clear On/Off Switch below the handle and the red indicator light will light up to indicate that the kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the water has boiled, the On/Off Switch will move to the OFF position and the light will go out.

Installing the Filter: Hold the Filter by the top edge and insert the Filter Hook on the bottom edge of the spout on the inside of the kettle. Press the Tab against the top edge of the spout until you hear a click. IMPORTANT: Do not remove or install the Filter when the Kettle is hot. -
