Wireless-N Broadband Router
Wi-Fi Protected Wireless Configuration. Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup to enable this feature. There are three
options available:
If the client device has a Wi-Fi Protected Setup button, click or press that button. You can then select the Wi-
Fi Protected Setup button on this screen, or press the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on the top of the Router.
You will need to follow the client device's user's guide for further information.
or
If the Client device has a Wi-WFi Protected Setup PIN number, enter the number in the blank field in Option 2
and then select Register.
or
If the client device requests the Router's PIN number, enter the number displayed in Option 3. A new number
can be generated by
• Rebooting, or
• by selecting the Administration Tab, choosing Factory Defaults and then selecting Restore Wireless
Settings, or
• by selecting the Administration Tab, choosing Factory Defaults and then selecting Restore All Settings.
The new PIN number will display on this screen (Basic Wireless Settings), in Option 3.
Network Name (SSID). The SSID is the shared network name and must be identical for all points in a wireless
network. It is case-sensitive. Make sure this setting is the same for all points in your network.
Security. Displays the type of security setting being used for the wireless network. To change this setting, refer
to the Wireless Tab - Wireless Security section of this chapter.
Encryption. Displays the current encryption method. To change this setting, refer to the Wireless Tab - Wireless
Security section of this chapter.
Passphrase. Displays the Passphrase shared by the Router and other network devices. To change this setting,
refer to the Wireless Tab - Wireless Security section of this chapter.

NOTE: Wi-Fi Protected Setup will not work with
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP). If even one device
on your network supports only WEP, then you
cannot use Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
