Description
ON (I) / OFF (0) Switch: Turn this switch to the "ON" (I) position to provide automatic power to the
A
pressure switch and "OFF" (O) to remove power at the end of each use.
Safety Valve: If the pressure switch does not shut off the air compressor at its "cut-out" pressure
B
setting, the safety valve will protect against high pressure by "popping out" at its factory set pressure
(slightly higher than the pressure switch "cut-out" setting).
C
Tank Pressure Gauge: The tank pressure gauge indicates the reserve air pressure in the tank.
Air Compressor Pump: Compresses air into the air tank. Working air is not available until the
D
compressor has raised the air tank pressure above that required at the air outlet.
Drain Valve: The drain valve is located at the base of the air tank and is used to drain condensation at
E
the end of each use.
Check Valve: When the air compressor is operating, the check valve is "open", allowing compressed
F
air to enter the air tank. When the air compressor reaches "cut-out" pressure, the check valve "closes",
allowing air pressure to remain inside the air tank.
Thermal Overload Reset: (not shown) This motor has a thermal overload protector. If the motor
overheats for any reason, the overload protector will shut off the motor. The motor must be allowed to
cool down before restarting. To restart:
1. Place the ON/OFF switch in the "OFF" (0) position.
G
2. Unplug the air compressor and wait until the compressor cools down.
3. Plug the air compressor into and approved outlet.
4. Place the ON/OFF switch in the "ON" (I) position to restart the motor.
Regulator: Valve used to ensure that the tank pressure never reaches unsafe levels. It also allows the
H
user to adjust the pressure coming out of the tank to match what is needed for the task.
Pressure Regulator Gauge: The gauge that indicates the amount of pressure that the regulator is
I
providing to the tool.
Quick Connects: Fittings that are designed to accept a hose that allows pressure to be released for tool
J
usage.
