    Safety Information Batteries Batteries present a risk if they become damaged by the possible leaking of electrolyte. Electrolyte is an acid and can cause serious burn injuries. Care should be taken when working on or near them. NOTE: the electrolyte may be in a liquid or gel form.

    Safety Information Vibrations (Where Applicable) • Prolonged use of hand held (operated) machines will cause the user to feel the effects of/from vibrations. These vibrations can lead to white finger (Raynaud’s phenomenon) or carpal tunnel syndrome. This condition reduces the ability of the hand to feel and regulate temperature, causing numbness and heat sensations and may cause nerve damage and circulatory tissue death.

    Safety Information Intended Use The HY2192 is a 20V Cordless Pole Saw. It is powered by a 775W HYUNDAI motor. This machine is specifically a pedestrian tool, manufactured according to the latest safety requirements. Every precaution is only effective when it’s followed exactly.

    Safety Information Personal Protective Equipment Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), MUST be worn at all times when operating or repairing the machine. No protective equipment can ensure 100% protection. When selecting PPE, make sure it’s CE marked and it suits the user in terms of size, fit, etc.

    Assembly HY2192 Main Body Assembly Insert the Pole Handle Interlock (F) into the Trimmer Head interlock (E). This is “keyed” so it will only fit 1 way, to avoid misconstruction. Rotate the Collar on the Pole Handle Interlock (F) clockwise to secure.

    Assembly Pre-Operation Oil Top up Ensure the Battery is Disconnected when filling with oil Remove the Oil Cap (C), and fill with the provided oil. To check a sufficient amount of oil, use the Oil Gauge to check Check the chain deflection, pinch the chain and lift. It should lift about 2-3mm.

    Operation Pivoting Head Operation CAUTION : Do not place hand between pivoting head and base. Failure to follow this caution could result in a pinch point injury. Place the machine on a sturdy flat surface. Push the Head Angle Button (D) either side of the machine and adjust Saw Head.

    Operation How to cut selected branches Sawing of small branches Set your saw cut of smaller branches (0 0-8 cm) from top to bottom, as illustrated. Be aware of easily breaking of the branch if you have underestimated the size and weight. Be completely aware of the falling cut material.

    Maintenance & Care General Maintenance WARNING : Turn OFF the machine, allow all moving parts to come to a complete stop, and disconnect the power cord before maintaining the machine. You need to wear proper clothing and protective gloves whenever your hands are at risk.

    Maintenance & Care Chain Maintenance Sprocket Tip Lubrication CAUTION: The sprocket tip on your new saw has been pre-lubricated at the factory. Failure to lubricate the guide bar sprocket tip as explained below will result in poor performance and seizure, voiding the manufacturer’s warranty. Lubrication of the sprocket tip is recommended after 25 hours of use or once a week, whichever occurs first.
  • Page 26 Maintenance & Care Chain Maintenance Chain Sharpening WARNING: Always wear protective gloves during maintenance operations. Do not carry out maintenance when the machine is hot. For the inexperienced chain saw user, we recommend that the saw chain be professionally sharpened by the nearest professional service centre. If you feel comfortable sharpening your own saw chain, special tools are available from the professional service centre.

Always sharpen the cutters only with outward strokes observing the values in the diagram. After sharpening, the cutting links must all have the same width and length.

    Maintenance & Care Guide Bar Maintenance Guide Bar WARNING: Proper adjustment of the depth gauge is as important as proper sharpening of the chain. The bar should be reversed every 8 working hours to ensure uniform wear. Keep the bar groove and lubrication hole clean using a bar groove cleaner (optional). Check the bar rails frequently for wear.
