Troubleshooting
Remedy
• Check that TIMER OPTIONS in the OPTIONS-2 menu is
set correctly (see page 84).
• Check that the clock and the date are set correctly.
• Check that the VPS/PDC time you set is the correct one
(there might be a mistake in the TV programme guide). If
the broadcast you wanted to record did not send the good
VPS/PDC information, the VCR will not start recording.
• If the reception is poor, the VPS/PDC signal might be
altered and the VCR might not start recording.
• The tape has reached its end. Insert a new tape and press
SYNCHRO REC again.
• The connected equipment was not turned off.
Turn off the connected equipment and press SYNCHRO
REC again.
• There was a power failure. Press SYNCHRO REC again.
• If the settings for timer recordings and Synchronized
Recording overlap, the programme that starts first has
priority and the second programme starts recording only
after the first programme has finished.
• There was a power failure. Press SYNCHRO REC again.
• Make sure you are pointing the remote commander only at
the remote sensor on the VCR and not at the STB sensor.
• Make sure you are pointing the STB controller at the
remote sensor on the Set-Top Box.
• Make sure the STB controller is connected securely.
• The STB tuner brand number may be deleted if you
disconnect it from the VCR. Re-enter the brand code
number corresponding to your Set-Top Box (see page 25).
• Check that POWER SAVE in the OPTIONS-2 menu is set
to PARTIAL or OFF (see page 84).
