3. Rear Brake

3.1.
Rear Brake Caliper
Removal
Drain the rear brake fluid.
Place a suitable container under the banjo
bolt to catch any remaining brake fluid.
Remove the banjo bolt that holds the brake
hose.
Discard the two sealing washers.
Replace the brake hose banjo bolt sealing
washers with new items on assembly.
Remove the exhaust muffler.
Remove the rear brake fluid tube bolt and
disconnect the brake fluid tube.
Remove two bolts attaching the rear brake
caliper.
Remove the rear brake caliper.
 When removing the brake fluid tube,
use shop towels to cover plastic
parts and coated surfaces to avoid
damage.
3.2.

Inspection

Inspect the brake pads and brake disk.
Measure the brake disk thickness.
Visually check the brake pad thickness
