    Preparing the notebook for use Please read the "Important notes" chapter. Before you can use your notebook for the first time you need to charge the battery and install the supplied software. The operating system Windows°XP and drivers required are preinstalled. Upon delivery, the battery can be found in the battery compartment.

You must re-install all the programs you have installed since purchasing your computer and then restore your data files using the backup copies.
