System Overview

This section gives a brief overview of the indoor part of the MINI-LINK High
Capacity terminal. For more information, see the MINI-LINK Product Portfolio
Description.
3.1

Introduction

The MINI-LINK terminal consists of an outdoor and an indoor part.

The outdoor part A is described in the MINI-LINK Point-to-point Outdoor
Installation Manual.
The indoor part B consists of a Modem Unit (MMU) and a Traffic Unit (TRU),
which are housed in one common Access Module Magazine (AMM). A fan
unit provides the AMM with cooling. For protected systems, two MMUs and
one TRU are used.
The radio unit is connected to the indoor units with a single coaxial cable C.
A management system is used for operation and maintenance of the terminal.
The integrated control and supervision system continuously monitors the
transmission quality and alarm status.
