Important and Useful Information to Know Before Using the Vehicle
Do not drive the vehicle on flooded
roads:
Do not drive the vehicle on flooded
roads as it could cause short circuiting
of the electrical/electronic parts or
damage the EV system. If the vehicle
has been immersed in water, always
consult an Mazda Repairer.
Carefully drive the vehicle in strong
crosswinds:
If the vehicle moves sideways due to
strong crosswinds, gradually decelerate
the vehicle while grasping the steering
wheel. Be particularly careful of tunnel
exits, areas on bridges, and roads
carved into mountains where
crosswinds occur easily. Otherwise,
you may lose control of the vehicle
resulting in an accident.
Do not drive with your foot held on
the brake pedal:
Otherwise, the brake parts will wear
out more quickly.
The brakes can overheat and
adversely affect brake performance.
Make various adjustments while the
vehicle is stopped:
If you try to adjust the seat, steering
wheel, or mirrors while driving the
vehicle, it could disrupt your driving
posture or view and distract your
attention from the road ahead, leading
to an accident.
Do not recline the seatback
excessively:
If your body slides under the seat belt,
the seat belt cannot function at its full
capacity during emergency braking or
in a collision, which could result in a
serious accident, injury or death.
Parking the vehicle
Before leaving the vehicle, shift the
selector lever to the P position and
apply the parking brake:
Not applying the parking brake when
parking the vehicle is dangerous as the
vehicle may move unexpectedly and
result in an accident. Before leaving the
vehicle, shift the selector lever to the P
position, apply the parking brake, and
make sure that the Electric Parking
Brake (EPB) indicator light in the
instrument cluster turns on. When
parking the vehicle on a slope, use
wheel blocks if necessary.
When parking under direct sunlight,
do not store glasses or lighters in the
vehicle:
A lens of a pair of glasses could focus
sunlight in one place and cause
ignition of flammable objects or the
vehicle cabin temperature could
become hot and cause a lighter to
explode which could cause a fire.
Do not nap in the vehicle with the EV
system operating:
The selector lever could be shifted
unconsciously or the accelerator pedal
could be depressed causing the vehicle
to move, resulting in an accident.
