Before using any tool, any part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function.
Periodically use a good graphite oil to lubricate blade edges and gears on the Geared Handle (4). To Replace the Blades (8, 14): a. Open jaws completely. Be sure to use caution when replacing the blade; if the handle is bumped the blades may move, causing personal injury.
