Erection Instructions
I
An even and stable base is required for erection of the boiler.
It is recommended that the boiler be placed on foundations or on a platform. See the
technical data for the dimensions.
Local building authorities must approve fitting of this heating equipment.
The guidelines of the building inspectorate, fire regulations and VDI 2050 are to be
satisfied, in particular with reference to the size of the heating room, air supply and
ventilation and the flue connection when fitting the boiler.
The boiler may only be erected in a heating room that is protected against frost and
having secure air supply and ventilation.
If there is any risk of frost during idle periods, the boiler, reservoir if applicable, and the
heating system must be drained down.
The boiler must be level, or rise slightly towards the rear, in order to ensure complete
venting.
The boiler must not be erected in rooms where it will be subjected to aggressive fumes,
heavy dust deposits or high air humidity (workshops, washrooms, hobby rooms etc.).
The combustion air must be free from halogenated hydrocarbons (such as may be
contained in aerosol cans, cleaning materials, solvents, paints or glues) and from
high levels of dust.
Clearances to walls or to inflammable materials must accord with the specifications
of the local fire authorities. The clearances printed here are recommended.
The exhaust pipe is to be kept as short as possible, and must rise toward the flue.
Seal the exhaust pipes carefully!
Use flue bends with cleaning flaps in order to allow the exhaust pipes to be cleaned.
The boiler door can be made to swing in the opposite direction by moving the bolts.
