1) Processing the Disc signal
If the IEC958 Digital output (Z_IEC958) from the ZiVA-3(VIC1 : A/V Decoder) becomes the input for the pin 42 of
CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC), the CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC) executes the PLL circuits to generate LRCK, SCK, and MCK,
which are sent to the CS4926(AIC1 : DSP) along with the audio data.
The CS4926(AIC1 : DSP) downloads the Microcode of the W27C020(AIC2 : 2M EPROM), and the micom control
executes the AC-3 decoding process according to the audio information of the disc.
The decoded data(AIC1-39,40,41) is then sent to the CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC), and this CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC)
becomes the analog output via the D/A Converting process (AIC3 - pin 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26).
2) Processing the external input signal
The VCR audio input and the TV/AUX audio input is switched in the 4052(AIC6 : Analog Switch) to be fed to the
(AIC3 - pin 10, 11, 12, 13) of the CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC), which is then A/D converted.
The CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC) executes the PLL circuit to generate the LRCK, SCK, and MCK, which are sent to the
CS4926(AIC1 : DSP) along with the data.
The CS4926(AIC1 : DSP) downloads the Microcode of the W27C020(AIC2 : 2M EPROM), and audio processing
such as DOLBY PRO-LOGIC / NATURAL / CONCERT / STADIUM are applied according to the users selection.
The processed data(AIC1-39,40,41)is then sent to the CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC), where the CS4226(AIC3 : CODEC)
D/A Converts to output Analog signals (AIC3 - pin 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26).
