4.7 Changing Program

To change FAX-30 program, follow the procedure below.
The program file, "FAX-30.zip" includes following files.
1) Fax30.bin
2) Nwuppg.exe
3) Load.bin
4) Idcode.sys
5) Setup.bat
Procedure
1. Disconnect the power cable of FAX-30.
2. Connect a PC to "NETWORK (LAN)" connector of FAX-30, using the cross cable 9 pin
D-sub 6 pin MJ cable.
3. Change the IP address of PC to "172.31.1.1".
4. Ensure the subnet mask of PC is "255.255.0.0".
5. Connect the power cable to FAX-30. (When Windows2000/XP is used.)
6. Run "setup.bat" on PC.
7. Disconnect the power cable from FAX-30 and re-connect it within 1 second.
8. The message, "My IP address 172.31.1.1" appears on MS-DOS window of PC.
9. Connect the power cable to FAX-30. (When Windows95/98 is used.)
10. "loading %" appears.
11. When the upgradation is complete, POWER LED on FAX-30 blinks after about 10
seconds.
12. Disconnect the power cable to turn off the unit.
13. Connect the power cable and confirm that POWER LED on FAX-30 blinks after about
10 seconds.
To check the program number, turn on the unit with DIP switch S1, #2 on MAIN board set to
ON.
