Field thermostat connections may need to be disconnected de- pending on their length and routing. 4. Remove control box mounting screws and position control box, transformer, and door switch assembly to right side of furnace casing.

    Step 6 — Servicing Hot Surface Igniter The igniter does NOT require annual inspection. Check igniter resistance before removal. 1. Turn off gas and electrical supplies to furnace. 2. Remove main furnace door. 3. Disconnect igniter wire connection. Check igniter resistance. Igniter resistance is affect by tem- perature.

    Freezing condensate left in the furnace may damage the furnace. If the furnace will be off for an extended period of time in a structure where the temperature will drop to 32°F (0_C)or below, winterize as follows: 1. Turn off electrical supply to furnace.
