Blower Installation

Blower Pulley Installation
1. Lift off and set aside the foot rest/center deck
cover to expose the center blade deck.
2. Pull the blade belt idler arm in the direction
indicated in Figure 7 to relieve the belt tension,
and slip the blade belt from the right blade drive
pulley.
3. Remove the 5/8" flange nut and spacer securing
the right blade pulley to the blade spindle.
4. Install the supplied blower drive pulley on top of
the blade pulley and replace the flange nut only as
shown in Figure 8. Tighten securely.
5. Replace the blade belt around the bottom tier of
the pulley, using the method described above.
Replace the foot rest/center deck cover.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Assistance may be needed for
removal of blade belt.
Blower Installation
1. Fit the Fast-Vac unit into place over and against
the mower discharge, aligning the holes in the
discharge mounting brackets with the holes in the
Fast-Vac mounting bracket.
2. Insert the discharge deflector rod (A, Figure 9),
removed in previous step, through the holes and
secure with the bridge pin.
3. Insert the T-bolt bracket (C) into the Fast-Vac
mounting bracket and secure with the T-bolt (B) as
shown, align the bolt plate of the bracket with the
rear edge of deck.
4. Mark and drill two 7/16" holes in deck and fasten
the T-Bolt bracket to the deck with two 3/8-16 x 1
bolts and the serrated flange nuts as shown in
Figure 10.
