23 GUIDELINES FOR USERS
Provide space for installation of the furnace in compliance
with local, domestic and European regulations
• In the case of heating equipment, exterior surfaces
of the stove are particularly hot During work, it is
recommended to take the utmost caution, and in
particular:
• do not touch or approach the door's pane, as this
may cause burns;
• do not touch the chimney's connection system;
• do not perform cleaning of any type;
• do not remove ash;
• do not open the glass door;
• do not open the ash pan (if present);
• do not allow children to approach the stove,
• do not place any objects on the stove
• Follow the guidelines given in this instruction manual
• Follow the instructions given on rating plates placed
on the stove
• Rating plates are safety elements that must always
be clearly visible and legible In the case of damage
or illegibility, rating plates must be replaced, and the
manufacturer must be contacted for the purpose of
obtaining original rating plates
• Use only fuel compliant with the information given in
the section concerning fuel properties
• Scrupulously adhere to the ordinary and extraordinary
maintenance schedule
• Do not fire up the stove without first performing
the daily maintenance recommended in the
"Maintenance" section of this instruction manual
• Do not fire up the stove in the case of improper
operation, suspicion of damage or atypical noise
• Do not use water to extinguish the flame in the
combustion chamber
• Do not cut power to the stove by pulling the power
cord from its socket
• Do not lean on the door while it is open, as this may
destabilise the stove
• Do not use the stove as a support or catch of any kind
• Do not clean the stove until its structure and ash are
not completely cool
• Do not touch the door while the stove is working
• Always operate the appliance calmly and in a safe
manner
• In the case of a fire in the chimney, extinguish the
stove according to the procedure described in section
122
• If the stove is working improperly due to a weak
chimney draught, clean the chimney according to the
description in section 122
• The chimney flue must be cleaned according to the
guidelines provided in section 122
• Do not touch painted parts while the stove is working,
as this may cause damage to them
• The stove may not be used by persons (including
children) whose physical, sensory or mental capacity
is limited, or by persons lacking experience and
knowledge, unless the person responsible for the
safety of such persons is supervising their activities
related to use of the stove or has previously provided
them with guidelines concerning use of the stove

3 FUEL PROPERTIES

31 FUEL PROPERTIES
• Pellet, or wood granulate (fig. 3.1), consists of various
species of wood pressed in a mechanical process in
accordance with environmental protection standards.
This is the only fuel permitted for stoves of this type.
• The thermal efficiency and power of the stove may vary
depending on the quality of the wood pellet used.
• To work properly, a pellet-fired stove requires pellet
with the following properties:
• size Ø 6 mm
• max length 30 mm
• max moisture: from 8% to 10% moisture content
The stove is equipped with a pellet container with the
capacity indicated in the technical documentation.
The cover of the stove's loading container is found at the
top.
During loading of pellet, the cover must always be open.
For safety reasons and in order to ensure temperature
control, do not use traditional wood in the form of logs
The stove is not an incinerator, and nothing besides wood
pellet may be burned in it
32 PELLET STORAGE
Wood pellet must be stored in a dry place that is not too
cold
We recommend storing several bags of pellet in the room
where the stove is located or in an adjoining room, in order
to ensure the proper temperature and moisture content.
Wet and/or cold (5°C) granulate reduces the pellet's
thermal power, and it is necessary to clean the grate more
frequently (unburnt fuel).
Special attention must be paid to the storage and transport
of bags of granulate, in order to prevent crushing and
formation of dust.
This may lead to the introduction of sawdust into the
stove's container, which may cause jamming or blocking
of the feed worm and damage to the worm's drive motor.
The properties of granulate must be compliant with the
requirements of standard UNI EN 14961-2
