Getting Started

Selecting the German Display

You can select either an English or a German language
display. The factory preset language is English. To
change the display to German, follow the steps below.
MEMORY DISPLAY
FM MODE BAND

Press MENU.

Turn TUNING/SELECT until "LANGUAGE"
appears and then press ENTER.
"SELECT" appears in the display.

Turn TUNING/SELECT until "GERMAN"
appears and then press ENTER.
The display returns to the frequency indication.
To return to the English display
Repeat the procedure above to select "ENGLISH"
instead.

Changing the FM Reception
Mode
Do the procedure below to receive FM broadcasts in
PILOT TONE mode.

Press U to turn off the tuner.

While pressing down the numeric button 2, press
U to turn on the tuner.
"PILOT" appears in the display for about 2
seconds.
To return to POLAR mode (Stereo Plus)
Repeat the procedure above to select "POLAR"
instead. In POLAR mode (Stereo Plus), the tuner
receives FM broadcasts that are only within a
frequency range of 65 MHz to 74 MHz.
