What to do, when...

Certain problems are due to the lack of simple maintenance or oversights, which can be solved with the help of the instructions
given here, without calling out an engineer.
...a flashing fault code appears
The dishwasher will not start or stops during operation. All push buttons are inoperative except for the On/Off push button and in the
multidisplay appears a fault code as indicated in the following chart. An audible signal informs you of the present alarm
Press the On/Off push button to switch the dishwasher off and carry out the following suggested corrective actions.
Fault code / malfunction
The multidisplay shows alarm
"AL5".
The machine does not fill with
water.
The multidisplay shows alarm
"AL6".
The dishwasher will not drain.
The multidisplay shows alarm
"AL4".
Once the checks have been carried out, press the On/Off push button and close the door, the programme will continue from the
point in which it was interrupted. If the fault code reappears contact the consumer services department.
For other combinations of fault codes (AL1, AL2, AL3, AL7, AL8) not described in the above chart will appear, please contact your
consumer services department.

Fault
The programme does not start

Possible cause
The water tap is blocked or furred with
limescale.
The water tap is turned off.
The filter (where present) in the threaded hose
fitting at the water inlet valve is blocked.
The water inlet hose has not been correctly laid
or it is bent or squashed.
The siphon is blocked.
The water drain hose has not been correctly laid
or it is bent or squashed.
Protection against flooding is active.
Possible cause
The dishwasher door has not been properly
closed.
The main plug is not plugged in.
The fuse has blown in the household fuse box.
For dishwasher models with delay start
option:
Delay start has been selected.
The whistling is not a cause for concern.

Solutions
Clean the water tap.
Turn the water tap on.
Clean the filter in the threaded hose
fitting.
Check the water inlet hose connection.
Clean out the siphon.
Check the water drain hose connection.
Close the water tap and contact the
consumer services department.
Solutions
Close the door.
Insert the mains plug.
Replace the fuse.
If you want to start immediately the
washing programme, cancel the delay
start.
Use a different brand of detergent.
