Layers:
Layers: are additional items that you can have
displayed on your map. They include:
Traffic: displays real-time traffic conditions so you

can plan the fastest route.
Satellite: allows you to see you map as a satellite
•
image.
Terrain: allows you to see terrain features such as
•
hills and mountains.
Transit Lines: allows you see public transit lines
•
such as rail lines.
Latitude: allows you to see your friend's locations
•
and share your location with them.
My Maps: allows you to see maps you have saved
•
as favorites.
•
Bicycling: allows you to see public bicycle paths
and lanes.
Wikipedia: activates Wikipedia so that if any

information is available on the map view, you can
tap it to read more.
Clear Map: allows you to remove all layers from
•
the map.
My Location:
when selected, your location displays on the map with
a blinking blue arrow.
Live TV
Live TV is a subscription service that allows you to watch your
favorite TV shows using your device. For more information, refer
to "Live TV" on page 76.
Maps
Depending on your location, you can view basic, custom, and
satellite maps and local business information, including
locations, contact information, and driving directions. You can
also post public messages about a location and track your
friends.
Important!: Before using Google Maps you must have an active data (3G)
connection. The Maps application does not cover every country
or city.
